Stroke Association
The Stroke Association provides practical advice, emotional support and information for Stroke Survivors (including transient ischaemic attack or TIAs/mini-strokes), and families and carers of people affected by stroke, living in Bath and North East Somerset.
They work with people to identify and address their physical, practical and emotional needs through a personalised plan, and support a person to rebuild their life after stroke.
They offer:
- Home visits and/or regular telephone calls;
- Communication support;
- 1:1 or group based Leaflets, factsheets and information;
- Information on Stroke risk and secondary prevention;
- Assistance with accessing local leisure, social activities;
- Carer Support Benefit Advice Signposting to other organisations that could help;
- Aphasia Choir Peer Support Group
