Royal United Hospital
The Royal United Hospital (RUH) in Bath is the acute care for around 500,000 people in Bath, Somerset, and Wiltshire.
The RUH provides a wide range of services including medicine and surgery, services for women and children, accident and emergency services, and diagnostic and clinical support services.
They also provide specialist services for rheumatology, chronic pain and chronic fatigue syndrome/ME via the Royal National Hospital For Rheumatic Diseases.
In 2021, the RUH acquired Sulis Hospital in Bath, an independent hospital that provides care for both private and NHS patients.
The RUH works closely with the Community Wellbeing Hub to support both inpatients leaving hospital and outpatients.
