Connecting Families

The team work with families who have multiple or complex needs and require intensive interventions to help them achieve positive outcomes for themselves.  Their aim is to work with a family to make a positive difference to their lives.

Connecting Families

Who do they support:

  • Young People who are not engaging with school, at risk of exclusion or have low school attendance
  • Young parents and children under 5 years old who need support
  • Individuals with mental or physical health conditions that are long-standing or memory loss caused by medication or illness
  • Those with drug or alcohol dependency
  • Children and young people at risk of abuse and neglect
  • Families members with SEND or learning difficulties
  • Those with reading and writing difficulties (or English not being a first language)
  • Individuals or families at risk from crime or anti-social behaviour
  • Families experiencing domestic violence or family conflict
  • Families with financial issues or long-standing debt
  • Families with housing issues (unsuitable, overcrowding or at risk of eviction)
