BSW Integrated Care Board
The BSW ICB (Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care Board) is a statutory NHS body responsible for planning, funding, and overseeing local health and care services in the area.
The BSW ICB works with hospitals, councils, and VCSE Sector to improve population health, reduce inequalities, and ensure joined-up care. It's part of the wider BSW Together ICS and manages budgets including GPs and hospital care to mental health, aiming to make services more integrated and responsive to local needs, especially in areas with health disparities.
Key priorities:
- General practice, planned hospital care, urgent care.
- Community health, mental health, learning disability services.
- End-of-life care, children's services.
