Skills for Work – Volunteering Opportunities
Gain skills and experience for work through volunteering. Come along to this FREE event to find out more from a range of charities. Many opportunities can lead to paid work and charities can offer references for future employers.
Bath Central Library, Wednesday 31st January, 10am – 12pm.
The Employment and Skills Pod are running the above FREE event in January for residents of B&NES, who can drop in on the day. The focus of the event will be to highlight how gaining skills as a volunteer can lead to paid employment. We are planning a marketplace of charities for individuals to visit during the morning.
Three of the organisations will be giving a short, informal talk (10 minutes max) at different points throughout the morning to highlight their volunteering opportunities, the benefits of volunteering if you are looking for work, as well as how it can increase confidence and work readiness.
So far we have the following organisations attending: Bath City Farm, Dorothy House, Bath Cats and Dogs Home, Your Park, Avon Wildlife Trust, Somer Valley Rediscovered, B&NES Community Volunteer Services, Healthwatch, Sendias.
